Photo Walk Birmingham - 27/04/14

Just a quick thank you to all those that attended my first eveer photo walk, hosted by me! It was a great day and I think everybody enjoyed it? We started by exploring around The Library of Birmingham and through to Victoria Square. We continued down past Birmingham Cathedral and on to Snow Hill.

We took our time, took in a lot of the details of what was happening around us and shared our ideas, techniques and had a laugh along the way. It is certainly something I will do again so if you would like to join us, keep an eye on my Facebook Page for more details. Here is a taster video created by my good friend and Motor Verso Editor - Paul Hadley... Enjoy...

Cherry Blossom in Birmingham

I love the spring. Sunny days but still a chill in the air. I also love the colours and the blossom of the trees transforms the grey city and gives everything a bit of a lift. It also reminds you that summer is not a million miles away! Here are a few of my blossom shots...

"Take pictures of whatever you fancy..."

"Take pictures of whatever you fancy..."

Hello everyone, As you know I am looking to arrange a bit of a walk around Birmingham City Centre on Sunday 27th April - The aim is to meet at about 10.00am by The Library of Birmingham (new Library) and walk around a route - I will add a map - taking pictures of whatever takes your fancy.

As it is the first meet-up - We won't set too many ground rules to keep it fairly straight forward, needless to say, bring a camera (any camera) and a friendly attitude and we'll take it from there... All abilities are welcome and the idea is to help each other out, discuss techniques and hopefully share some advice to get some great shots of Birmingham.

Please share with your friends as everyone is welcome and it really is 'more the merrier'. We will look to finish at about 2.00pm and can finish at a local coffee shop (or pub!) - It would be great if you could all share your favorite image from the day on this page and if all goes well, we can make it a regular occurrence :)

Hope you can all join us!

Go to my Facebook page and join the event if you would like to come along - more details HERE

A short trip to Shrewsbury

At the weekend I had the chance to take a quick look around Shrewsbury. I have to say, it is a very interesting little place with some great architecture and beautiful scenery. It was great that it was a sunny day and we had a very enjoyable walk along the river Severn. It would be great to do a proper photo walk around Shrewsbury as I'm sure there would be some great little details that I missed.
